Barista Position – Vitruvius Coffee & Tea (Downtown Middleton

Vitruvius Coffee & Tea is a specialty coffee shop, and we are looking for experienced baristas to join our growing team. We are committed to quality, consistency, and creating a thoughtful hospitality experience.

About the Position

• Specialty coffee shop

• Rotating coffees from respected specialty roasters

• Loose leaf tea program

• Occasional live music and community events

• Opportunities for shift lead roles

Pay

• $13 to $17 per hour plus tips

• Typically averages around $21 to $23 per hour with tips, depending on experience

Requirements

• Previous specialty coffee barista experience required

• Strong understanding of espresso preparation and milk steaming

• Knowledge of coffee origin, processing methods, and varietals

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

• Detail oriented and consistent in workflow

• Interest in specialty coffee and hospitality

• Availability for mornings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso drinks and tea to a high standard

• Dial in espresso and maintain quality throughout shifts

• Operate espresso machines and grinders

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar

• Provide friendly and welcoming customer service

• Follow cleanliness and food safety standards

• Stock and restock all bar items including cups, milk, and ingredients

• Assist with cleaning tasks throughout the shift and at close

• Prepare in-house ingredients such as syrups and other components

• Support overall coffee shop operations as needed
